Dugs vs Altenative

Life is tough, yet truly wonderful. And we count our blessings. In a post September/11 world we do it every day.

The high quality-low priced herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and phytochemicals are now within reach of most . They can replenish the nutrients missing from our impoverished food supply, protect you and your loved ones from illnesses, bring you back to active life and give your life dignity. Don't just give consideration to your health once it is failing. It is always easier to prevent diseases, than to regain health, once you are sick.

More than 90% of people encounter some of these problems: Acne, AIDS, Allergies, Arthritis, Cancer, Crohn's disease, Colitis, Eczema, Heart disease, Irritable bowel syndrome, Leukemia, Psoriasis... Some of us are already hit. Others will face the onslaught of health problems, lurking just over the horizon. Are you ready to face them?
the FDA tell consumers to beware of dietary supplements since they are not 'regulated'. Yet, iatrogenic, doctor-caused—death, is the fourth leading killer in the United States, according to statistics. Regulated drugs kill over 100,000 (it's like a large airplane being blown up every day) and seriously injure over 2.1 million people every year in the US(references #1 & #2). This means that more people die each year in the US from medical errors than from highway accidents, breast cancer or AIDS.

It's estimated that globally over a million people die from regulated drugs (and from their interactions) and over twenty million are seriously injured every year. It's a fact that these people die from medical malpractice including prescription drugs used incompetently, inappropriately and carelessly by orthodox, licensed doctors. Sometimes we wonder why the media is quiet about the 'killing side effects' of drugs.

We have a love affair with our prescription drugs. In 2001 Americans spent more than US$150 billion on prescription drugs — US$90 billion more than they did just six years ago. It's not surprising that the drug industry is the most profitable industry in the US. Of course the industry is not paying for the associated high costs of the drugs' 'side effects' (cigarette manufacturers are increasingly paying for the treatment costs of smoking-related illnesses or death). Payments from legal settlements with the pharmaceutical companies are always kept confidential. We can again wonder why...

The question is balance. All of us recognise the value of prescription drugs. However, they are clearly overused without serious considerations given to their side effects.
Most of the prescription drugs deplete vitamins and minerals from our body. Besides the adverse effects of drugs, our bodies are compromised by the foods we consume. The avarege North American consumes about 14 pounds (7 kg) of additives a year. Some 2,800 additives are intentionally added to what we eat. As many as 10,000 or more additives or toxins (environmental chemicals, e.g. dioxin; pesticides used on crops; hormones and antibiotics fed to animals) find their way into food indirectly as it is grown, processed, packaged and stored.
Increasingly it is argued that disease arises from conditions of increased toxicity and lack of balanced nutrients (incl. vitamins, minerals, essential oils, amino acids, etc.). And preventing or curing disease consists of cleaning toxicity from the body harmlessly and providing the missing supplements and nutrients.

Avoiding harmful substances as well as supporting the organs of detoxification (bowels, liver, kidney, lungs, skin) is vital in maintaning and restoring health. The removal of toxic metals can be a crucial step towards better circulatory and heart health. Bypass the 'bypass'!
We should not overlook the need for regularly cleansing our body from parasites. And our eating habits should be switched to consuming organically grown food (as much as we can), to avoid the chemical overload and to consume more minerals present in organically grown food.
Have a plan for healthy living. What you put in is what you get out. There are no shortcuts. This plan should have several key components, including adequate and clear water intake (8 glasses a day!); good nutrition, incl. vitamins and minerals; regular cleansing of bowel and liver/gall bladder regular and sustained exercise; and sufficient rest, at least 7 or 8 hours sleep.

We recommend that every day, one should take a multivitamin, such as 'Sam's Formula' to maintain optimum health. (Read the exciting reports from those who take 'Sam's'.) If you take your supplements regularly, you will be healthier and happier. Your extra energy and cheerfulness will be a gift and a blessing to your loved ones. And a loving relationship is a powerful healing instrument.

Remember the three month rule of detoxification and rejuvenation. Don't expect dramatic health benefits from the food supplements overnight, rather, take them for at least three months or longer. Most cells in your body, except the nerve and brain cells, will reproduce within 3 months. If these new cells can grow in a nutrient rich, low-toxicity, healthy inner-environment, you will get a healthier, new body! The cells produced over the following three months will be even better. This rejuvenation phenomenon will continue until the levels of cellular improvement plateau out.

How do you know if the Ginkgo Biloba or ginseng you've got from others has no pesticides in it? You don't. Ginkgo has to be wildcrafted, otherwise it is most likely comes from a ginkgo plantation where the use of pesticides is standard. Consumerlab.com tested 21 ginseng formulas. Twelve failed due to pesticide contamination or not having the represented amount of ginseng.
The risk of Mad Cow disease is small, but why take a chance. Two of the vital ingredients of the joint formulas are chondroitin and collagen, and both of them usually comes from European cattle. These sources are cheap... use formulas that specifically states "Chondroitin from Oriental sources". We would not take the cattle but rather the chicken based collagen.

Your safety is our first priority! Your local health food store focuses on marketing and advertising and has no way of knowing if any herbal product has pesticide in it. But we do, and that is all that matters. We focus on research and testing. We treat every source with a healthy suspicion. Sooner or later you will realize that we care only about people getting the highest quality and the best price.
Let's make 2003 a healthy and peaceful year.

Warmly,
Dr. Thomas Janossy
